How do pawn shops determine prices?
Pawn shops base the value of the item on current appraised value, its current condition and the ability to sell the item. Pawnbrokers use research tools that they have at their disposal to determine an item’s value and get you the most money for the item.

What is the difference between pawn and sell?
Unlike selling, pawning is more similar to taking out a loan with the pawn shop. With this loan, your items serve as collateral. Also, unlike selling, you don’t sign away your items, as they will be given back to you once the pawn loan is paid off. To pawn items, simply bring your items to a pawn shop.

Is a credit check required for a pawn loan?

No. The only requirement is a valid photo ID.

How does a pawn shop loan work?
Here’s how pawn shop loans work: You bring in an item as collateral, and the pawnbroker will determine the value of the item, give you a loan based on its cost, and then hang on to your collateral until you’ve paid off the loan. In a nutshell, it is one way to get a personal loan without a credit check.

What is a pawn loan extension?
You may be able to extend the due date of your loan. To do so you will need to pay any outstanding pawn service charges. The availability of extensions and exact terms are different by state. Talk to a Team Member for more information.

Is my collateral safe while in pawn?
While your item is in pawn, you still own it. It is our responsibility to keep it safe and in good condition while it’s in our care. When you give us an item for a pawn, we keep all accessories (remote controls, cables, etc.) with your item and place it in a secure area. Your item is safely stored until you return to pay your pawn loan in full and reclaim it. We are fully insured for the loan value of the collateral we keep.

Can someone else pick up my pawn loan?
You are the only person who can pick up the loan unless you give somebody a notarized letter authorizing them to pick up the loan on your behalf. However, anyone may make a payment on your pawn loan on your behalf as many times as needed.

Do pawn shop loans affect your credit?
The short answer is no! A pawn loan will not improve your credit score, however, it also won’t negatively affect it.

What happens when you pawn something?
When you pawn an item, you are taking out a loan using your valuable as collateral. The pawnbroker will agree to give you a certain amount of cash and hold your item until you have paid back the loan amount plus interest and fees.

How can I buy a Firearm?
We list a firearm. If you see something you like or have to have, you can make an offer (negotiate your heart out) or buy it on the spot (at a fixed price) or make a bid (going once, going twice, sold).You may choose to do in-store pickup or shipment to a FFL (Federal Firearm Licensed) dealer. The FFL dealer must be located in your hometown.Before shipment, we must receive a copy of the FFL certificate from the firearm dealer whom will receive the firearm on behalf of you.Payment for the firearm must be made directly to us.

How do I receive my firearm after I purchase it?
It depends on whether you select Ship to Dealer or Immediate In-store Pickup. If the item is not local and you select Ship to Dealer, our merchants wrap, pack, and ship your item to your favorite local FFL (Federal Firearms Licensed Dealer). If the item is local and you select Immediate Pickup, you can immediately pick up your item at the store using In Store Pickup (plus, you save money by avoiding shipping charges!).
